The Willink is a high performing and oversubscribed school. In 2018 over 80% achieved the GCSE benchmark of 5+ grades 9-4 and 30% achieved A*/A at A level. The school has 1070 students on roll including 170 in the Sixth Form, and is situated in a pleasant semi-rural setting south west of Reading. The school’s Ofsted judgment in June 2018 was exceptionally positive.

Teacher of Music

(MPR/UPR plus TLR2 available for subject leadership)

0.8 FTE or full time (maternity cover)

Start date: January 2019 or earlier

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, motivated and inspirational teacher of music. The successful candidate will teach music at Key Stage 3 and GCSE Music. A TLR is available for a suitable candidate with the ability to lead the subject. The post is to cover maternity leave until September or December 2019. Teacher of French with Spanish

0.7 FTE to full time (maternity cover)

Start date: January 2019 or earlier to summer 2019

We are seeking an inspirational classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge to join our very successful MFL Department (90% were entered for a GCSE in MFL in 2018). The successful candidate will be expected to teach Spanish at Key Stage 3 and French at GCSE. A level teaching is available for a suitably qualified candidate. Cleaning Operatives

2 hours/day 5 days a week (overtime may be available)Term time only contract
West Berks salary band B, starting salary £8.55 per hour

The Willink School has an “in house” cleaning operation and we are looking for staff to join our friendly, dedicated and hardworking team to work an early evening shift from 3.15 – 5.15pm.

Cleaning operatives will be allocated a specific area of the school to clean and maintain at a high standard. Full training will be given and uniform and all materials will be provided. 

Cleaning operatives are employees of West Berkshire Council and have access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Learning Support Assistants

15 - 25 Hours per week - Term time only. Required ASAP

We are looking for enthusiastic, forward thinking and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our friendly team of LSAs. The ability to support literacy or modern foreign languages would be an advantage. We are looking for LSAs with flexibility, a keen interest or qualification in learning support and the desire to contribute to our school’s community. As a Teaching School we can offer the successful candidate excellent support and professional development.

This post is based on Scale B/C of the West Berkshire pay scale. Salary £16,495 – 17,972 FTE which is £6,004 - £6,194 pro rata for 15 hours and £9,979 - £10,323 pro rata for 25 hours.
